香菜牛肉泡椒

Ingredients:

  • Beef (can be nice, steak, or not, whatever)
  • Cilantro/coriander
  • Pickled peppers
  • Normal chinese chilis (not dried)
  • Garlic
  • Ginger

First, chop the beef into strips: THIN is good.

Then marinate it. In a bowl:

  • beef strips
  • soy sauce (生抽)
  • dark soy sauce (老抽)
  • corn starch

Rub it around with your hands until it’s slightly sticky, then let it marinate for about 10 mins.

Next, prep the cilantro: chop it up, that’s it.

Next, fire up the wok. Throw in:

  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Chopped pickled peppers
  • Chopped chinese chilis

Let that all fry around a bit. Add in the beef. Add in some salt and white pepper power (白胡椒粉) if you have it.

When the beef starts to brown, throw in the cilantro. You only really need to cook it for another 2 mins or so after adding the cilantro and it’s good to go!
